The Cambridge Railway Circle was originally formed by railwaymen in 1969 and has become a focus for local enthusiasts and railwaymen alike.

The Circle aims to provide a convivial opportunity for those fascinated by the railway scene to enjoy illustrated talks, films and video screenings, presented by club members or eminent guest speakers. We cover the railway from yesterday to tomorrow, UK and beyond. These first Friday of the month gatherings run from September to May inclusive. The summer months complement the programme with visits to preserved railways, historic towns, river trips and, very occasionally, the hire of our own excursion train.  What’s not to enjoy?
